The Naked 2 Palette: Review/Swatches

Hey guys!I’m sure you’ve all read the tile & I’m sure you’ve all been searching nearly everywhere to purchase…..You guessed it The Naked Palette 2?! Okay so I’ve had the palette for about two weeks now it was an early Christmas present from my mom. I know everyone is wondering how she managed to snag it when it’s sold out on the Sephora site and is overpriced on other websites like eBay & Amazon. Well somehow she got lucky and managed to get two from the Urban Decay Website for $50.00 a piece. She’s Lucky Right?!

my thought:
So I’ve been playing around with the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette for the last 2 weeks now, and I can honestly say that I’m in love with this palette almost as much as I was with the original naked palette. In my personal opinion the palette is completely different from the original although they are similar in some ways. Unlike The Naked The Naked2 palette gives you a nice selection of cool toned neutral colors, as well as more matte colors whereas in the original you get more bronze, golden colors with a lot of shimmer. As you can see in the pictures above Urban Decay has changed the packaging of the palette.
In this version you get a sturdier palette in my opinion. The Naked2 palette has a plastic casing that appears to look like tin with a latch to close and lock the palette to prevent it from coming open. Inside the palette you get a full sized mirror on the cover part of the palette. Which I think is good because the bigger mirror makes it more convenient for you to do you’re make up on the go without having to struggle with seeing what you’re doing especial if you’re blind like me! Instead of the Primer Potion The Naked2 comes with a sample sized Lip Junkie in the shade Naked. I honestly would rather have the primer potion instead of the lip junkie.
As you can see in the picture the lip junkie doesn’t really have any pigmentation on my lips, but I will say that the product is good for a sheer look. The lip junkie has a nice minty scent, and taste (although I don’t recommend you eat the product!) Since it’s suppose to be a lip plumper the Lip Junkie gives your lips a very cool and tingly feeling, but I don’t feel my lips getting plumper which I don’t care for anyway. Overall I think the lip junkie is a nice product, but I could do without it.
If you got the original naked when it first came out you would have received the 24/7 glide-on eyeliners in zero and whiskey, but instead of those in the Naked2 you’ll receive a doubled ended full size brush. On one side of the brush it has a crease brush and on the other side there is a regular shade brush. Both side of the brush have synthetic fiber hairs I honest don’t like the brush to me the fibers feel rough and plastic, so I much rather use my sigma brushes.
I never really expected Urban Decay to include a good full sized brush in the palette to begin with so it’s okay! Since my palette was purchased from the site it also came with an extra gift which was a sample size of de slick in a tube. I’ll a separate review on that product later!  </dd>
(Note: I recommend that you double click on the pictures to see them in better swatch quality!)

♡You are given more matte colors.
♡The mirror is  3x bigger than the mirror in the orignal palette.
♡ In this palette you have more cool tone colors.

Cons:
♡some of the colors are very similar to the original naked.
♡The brush is poor quality I personal would have preferred the 24/7 liners that can in the first naked.

Beauty Questions!

  1. What are your thought one the palette?
  2. Do you own it ,or would you like to try it?
