Coastal Scents 42 Double Stack Palette (matte)

I've been wanting this set for a while and I finally got my hands on it. Normally when I order palettes I tend to go for BH cosmetics but this time around I decide to give Coastal Scents a try. If you've been reading my blog for a while then you'd know that I'm obsessed with their Camouflage 10 concealer palette. I use it for all of my make up looks and I swear I'd be lost without. Since I'm still trying to build a professional cosmetic kit I figured that it'd be a good idea to have blush palette.

Most of my blush are from Milani and I have a couple of mac blush as well  but those color are more suited for my skin tone with the coastal scent palette I have better array of colors for skin tones other my own. Instead of just get the blush palette I thought that it would be cheaper to get the double stack with eye shadows since you can never have too many. I'd typical go for the shimmer colors but for some reason I ended up choosing the matte set instead. Initially I was very nervous about choosing the matte set over the shimmer because I thought that the colors might be chalky, but after swatching and playing around with the colors I found that the shadow had nice pigmentation and were better than I expected them to be. Although I'd much prefer my Bh cosmetics shadows. The blushes from the kit where good quality and several of the blushes complement my skin tone without looking ashy, but I do have a few that would look amazing on fair skin which is a plus for me. Overall I would recommend this set to someone trying to build they're make up kit . I personally believe that its a great beginner's product  and it's also very affordable. For this kit I spent around $27.00 including super fast shipping which came in two days and I also received four sample shadows with a cute "I love makeup" trunk sticker so all together you get your money's worth!
